Real answers to the questions we hear most
Booking & the Consultation Process
How do I book a consultation with Upcountry Luxe?
Use the booking widget on our Contact page. Calls run 5–10 minutes. Prefer to text or call first?
(864) 325-3935.
What happens on the consultation call?
We listen first. We ask about your vessel or vehicle, its condition, and what you want from the work. Eric typically has enough from the conversation to quote you on the call and get you scheduled. If you’re not ready to commit, Kennedie will follow up with a written proposal to document everything.
What's the typical wait time for an appointment?
Typically around 4 weeks, depending on the season. Spring and summer — especially for marine — tighten the schedule. If you need a detail before a specific date or trip, mention it on the call.
About Our Services
What do you service?
Boats, jet skis, and cars, primarily. Watercraft keeps us the busiest — especially on Lake Keowee — but the auto side is just as intentional. Full details, paint correction, and ceramic coatings. We will take on specialty work for established clients.
Can you handle pet hair, biohazard, odors, or other specialty work?
Yes. Pet hair, biohazard, odor neutralization, headlight restoration, plastic trim restoration, engine bay detailing, teak restoration, and gelcoat sanding — available alongside any detail or as a follow-up for established clients. If you’re not sure whether something is fixable, ask. The answer is usually yes.
What's the difference between detailing, paint correction, and ceramic coating?
Detailing is comprehensive cleaning and protection. Correction is mechanical work that removes imperfections from the surface itself — swirls, oxidation, marring. Ceramic coating is a long-term protective layer that bonds to the corrected surface and holds for years. Most jobs combine these in different ways. We’ll walk through what your vessel or vehicle actually needs.
Do I need a ceramic coating if my vehicle is brand new?
Worth considering. New boats and cars often arrive with light defects from transport and dealer prep — swirls and contaminants already in the finish. We correct the surface first, then coat — locking it in as close to perfect as possible from the start. For boats, a ceramic coating is one of the most valuable investments you can make. For vehicles, timing matters. Leasing? A coating that preserves the paint can save you at turn-in. Buying long-term? A 6- or 10-year coating is often the smarter investment. We’ll discuss what makes sense for your situation.
Pricing and Payment
How does pricing work?
Every vessel and vehicle comes to us differently — the same tier on two boats can mean two different quotes. The consultation is where we give you an accurate number, specific to what you have and what you want. No surprises.
Why is a 25% deposit required at booking?
Every job we take occupies a significant block of time — marine and ceramic installs run full days or more, and even a standard detail is a dedicated appointment. The deposit confirms your commitment and keeps our schedule accurate. Remaining balance due day of service. Full terms in the service agreement we send before your appointment.
Logistics and On-Site Service
What areas do you serve?
We’re fully mobile across the Upstate of South Carolina — Pickens County, Oconee County, and Greenville County — with a focus on the Lake Keowee communities, including The Cliffs, The Reserve at Lake Keowee, Stoneledge, Six Mile, Sunset, Salem, Seneca, and West Union. Based in Pickens. If you’re nearby and not sure if we service your area, just ask.
Do you come to me?
Yes. We come to you—whether your vessel or vehicle is at your driveway, dock, marina, or storage facility. We bring our own generator, so power is rarely needed. We just need reasonable access to the work area, and in some dock locations we may also need access to water or enough room to safely position our equipment.
Do I need to be there during the service?
Not at all — and most of our clients aren’t. We’re trusted with some of the finest properties on Lake Keowee. You’ll receive updates and photo/video of the results when we’re finished.
What happens if it rains on my appointment day?
We watch the forecast and reach out proactively. Buffer days are built into the schedule — you won’t be left waiting.
Are you insured?
Yes. Comprehensive liability coverage for on-property work and vehicle service. Documentation available on request.
Maintenance and Aftercare
How often should I detail my boat or car?
It depends on the asset and how it’s used. Boats and watercraft on Lake Keowee benefit from at least quarterly maintenance. Vehicles vary. Daily drivers in high-UV conditions benefit from monthly care. Our maintenance plans start with a Premier Detail — a full reset — then hold the vessel or vehicle at that standard. Our Protective Maintenance Plans add a scheduled wax to that cadence. The right cadence is something we work out together.
Do you offer ongoing maintenance plans?
Yes. After a qualifying Premier Detail (or higher) as the reset, we offer recurring maintenance — interior-only, exterior-only, or full interior-and-exterior. Plans are quarterly with a 6-month minimum commitment. We also offer Protective Maintenance Plans that include a scheduled wax.
Our 100% Satisfaction Guarantee
How does your 100% satisfaction guarantee work?
If something isn’t right, we want to know before anyone else does. We come back and make it right — no charge, no discussion. Our recommendations exist for a reason. When the scope changes, so does what’s achievable — we’ll say so before we begin. When the work is performed as recommended and falls short of what we promised, we own it without reservation.
SystemX Coatings and Warranty
What voids my SystemX ceramic coating warranty?
Brush or tunnel car washes, missed annual inspections, or improper aftercare. We walk through every warranty condition and aftercare expectation before the install. Touch-less wash only, every time.
